Fall 2026 Yard Waste and Leaf Grinding Services
The city collects leaves curbside and takes brush at its drop-off, then hires a contractor to grind it all into compost for residents. This year only one company bid — Urben Forest Services — and the price per hour went up about $10, but the total should be similar to last year's $11,000. The material is stockpiled at airport land on Greenbush Road and ground once each fall instead of twice, which mixes leaves with brush for better compost.
Wastewater odor control upgrades
GEZ Biotek will replace the wood media in the odor control system for $79,000, funded by plant expansion project money.
